Peter says 'Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have'.

But living as a Christian in the 21st century means that simply giving answers is not enough. People want to see that the answers make a real difference in the lives of those giving them. For them, seeing is believing. That's why Peter also says 'But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord'. Living what we believe is a big part of any answer.
